The Palawan Animal Welfare Association in cooperation with the City Veterinarian Office celebrated World Animal Day in style in Puerto Princesa. The event, supported by Mayor Edward Hagedorn and Animal Peopl, proved to be a colourful celebration with animals as well as people sporting T-Shirts with the World Animal Day logo. |

Judging one of the Fancy Dress competitions. As you can see, a lot of time and effort went into making the fabulous animal costumes so it must have been a very tough task choosing the winners. The group photo included in the report shows the fantastic array of animal costumes: monkey, lion, tiger, frog, gorilla, giraffe, kangaroo, cat and dog.
This was the first year World Animal Day was celebrated in the state of Kerala and is set to become an annual event. |
