AIMS / MISSION STATEMENT:

A vision for a more humane and just world.

Edgar’s Mission Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to create a humane and just world for humans and non-humans.  We will endeavour to achieve this by education, advocacy and empowerment.  Looking to spark the flame of compassion inherent within us all, raising human consciousness and challenging long held beliefs that have enslaved animals, with the view to prevent animal cruelty and suffering, abuse and neglect, preventing exploitation and protecting native animals and their environments.

We will do this by acting to the highest ethical standards we know through non-violent means emulating Gandhi’s words “We must be the change we wish to see”.

For a better world for us all.

OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:

Our work includes animal care, outreach programs and education programs. Animal care is obviously a big part of life at Edgar's Mission. We have the responsibility of the health and well being of over 100 residents. Image left: Some of the rescued animals at Edgar's Mission Farm Sanctuary

Outreach
Edgar’s Mission seeks to inform people about how their lifestyle and dietary choices are making an impact on animals. We believe that by meeting our animal ambassadors and by learning about the plight of farm animals the public will be empowered to make more informed and compassionate choices. Edgar's Mission therefore is regularly represented at various markets and stalls around metropolitan Melbourne and country Victoria.

Education Programs
Edgar’s Mission always welcomes visits from schools and colleges. The Education Programs offered by Edgar’s Mission aim to inspire and empower students to increase their empathy and respect for animals, each other and the planet.
