AIMS / MISSION STATEMENT:

The purpose of “Verein zur Förderung geretteter Tiere” is to encourage and to undertake projects for the rescue of animals of all species as well as advancement for facilities to ensure an improved quality of life for all animals. We are convinced that humans have the responsibility for all kinds of life on earth. This credo we will approximate to as much people as possible, in words and doings.

OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:

Our work includes all kind of animal welfare.

First of all we have Happy's Farm where we take care of animals that have been rescued, with a particular focus on horses that have been saved from slaughter. For all animals in our care we do much more than simply supply their basic needs, we rehabilitate them and the horses are trained. Image: horses saved from slaughter arrive at Happy's Farm.

Outreach
“Verein zur Förderung geretteter Tiere“ strive to raise public awareness of our responsibilty to treat animals within our care humanely and to provide for their individual needs. We inform people about the prevention of of animal cruelty and abuse and are regularly represented at animal-related events, for example:horse shows, exhibitions and trade shows for pet supplies. We invite schoolchildren and studentsl to “Happy's Farm” and show them how to care for and handle animals thereby encouraging responsilble animal ownership.

We also create and launch petitions in order to highlight animal cruelty issues. For example, a petition to the European Commission against the murder of Dolphins at Färöer-Islands.
