AIMS / MISSION STATEMENT

“To eliminate unnecessary animal suffering and promote responsible Animal ownership” through “Education, Encouragement and Enforcement”

OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:

Adoption program, veterinary hospital services, spaying & neutering programs, animal rescue, cruelty investigations, education services, animal care summer camps for children, community service for young people, 24hr ambulance service, lobbying for improvements in animal legislation and support for other agencies encouraging responsible animal ownership.

As Executive Director of the Bahamas Humane Society, my goal is to focus on education and free spay and neuter programs in our inner city and family of islands, where there is little or no veterinary service. Also to create a network in which all animal groups in the Bahamas assist in raising the awareness of animal welfare issues.
