AIMS / MISSION STATEMENT:
To ensure the well-being of companion and farm animals on the Sunshine Coast and to strengthen the bond between animals and people in our community.
OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:
Run a foster and adoption program for animals in need.
Provide financial support for qualifying people who require short-term assistance in caring for their animals.
Raise public awareness of animal welfare issues.
Offer education in the humane and responsible treatment of animals.
Develop partnerships with other agencies and organizations to provide animals in our community with the strongest possible voice and the best possible chance to lead healthy, happy lives.
Raise funds through special events and other initiatives.
First annual trivia competition and silent auction fundraiser
Booth at the mall to carry out community needs survey as part of strategic planning
Booths at the local farmers market where we sell crafts, baked goods etc. to raise funds
