July 2008 - For the past 2 months we have been working practically non-stop getting our cat sanctuary ready to accommodate the Argos cats which have been housed temporarily in unsuitable buildings and area.
On Friday 18th July we transferred the cats to their new, safe and happy environment. The sanctuary will be further enhanced with the additions of pergolas and planting of trees to offer more shade for the cats.
We have also been given a quarry site with an area of 15,914sqm to transform into a forest/park-like environment for all the animals we intend rehabilitating. It will take at least 5 years for any tree or shrub to mature and become established - especially difficult in a drought-ridden country.
But we have the willpower and determination to make this dream a reality in the very near future. Stella. Below are some images of the new cat sanctuary.
