AIMS / MISSION STATEMENT OF URSA FREEDOM PROJECT

Ursa Freedom Project is an independent project driven by people who are passionate about conserving bears and their habitat.

There are eight species of bears on Earth. Human actions are ravaging them all and rapidly driving them into extinction. The American black bear is the only bear species poised to survive into the next century -- UNLESS we do something to change this. Extinction is inevitable only if we allow it. No living being on Earth can thrive without fresh air, clean water and fertile soil. Forests provide these vital elements for us all. Bears cannot survive without forests, and neither can we.

Ursa Freedom Project brings allies and partners together to save bears and the habitat they call home. We use story and art to inspire and motivate people into action. There are eight bear species that need your help. Choose a bear. Choose a cause. They all need our help.
