AIMS / MISSION STATEMENT:

On the domestic front I aim to educate, educate, educate - it's a continuous process. Pet owners and non-pet owners must be reminded again and again about responsibility and showing respect for living creatures.

On the wildlife front: conserve endangered species as when they're gone, they're gone; preserve our wildlife as it is in the forest or jungle and not on the dinner table, keep the animals safe and protect them from danger. Again, it is educating the public that is so important.

MISSION STATEMENT - To preserve and conserve all animals and educate mankind to respect God’s creation.

OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:

My companion pet care career started over 12 years ago in Malaysia. I have worked through the entire circle of pet food manufacturing, veterinary, retail and finally animal welfare with an NGO. Currently, I am taking a course in Wildlife Management as I've always had an interest in that sector.

My participation in World Animal Day began in 2006 when I was attached to The Pet Safari in Malaysia. My enthusiasm grew from there and since then it's become an annual fundraising and educational event enabling me to work with various people from different animal welfare charities. It's all about educating the public about Responsible Pet Ownership and the benefits of obtaining a rescued pet instead of buying a pedigree breed.

Through my small business of The Bark-ery, that operates under the umbrella of my main business 'Luv Thy Pet', I write articles about my experience in rescue work, fundraising, pet ownership of cats and dogs, etc. This is just one of the channels I use to educate pet owners.
