OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN: |
|
| |
How do we do this?
- We have outreach programmes in the five small towns / villages and surrounding farms in our district, with the aim of educating disadvantaged people in the care of animals, and we invite groups to our educational facilities at our premises.
- We conduct monthly sterilising of pets for low income owners.
- Pro-active inspections are ongoing, assisted by reports of abuse from the community.
- We have a successful, but strict re-homing programme for pets surrendered to us or confiscated as a result of pro-active inspections.
- Financing – with no government funding, we are totally dependent on fundraising and the generosity of the public.
