STOP PRESS - 18 NEW AMBASSADORS FOR 2009 -
SO FAR!

Although 2009 has only just begun, we've already appointed another 18 World Animal Day Ambassadors. Our Ambassador initiative was launched in early 2008 to maximise the speed at which World Animal Day grows. We now have 52 Ambassadors representing 51 countries (about 25% of all countries in the world!) and are keen to appoint more. With a World Animal Day Ambassador in each country, we will connect millions of people and achieve our goal: to be successful in uniting the animal welfare movement worldwide, embracing all animals and the unique concerns of each in every country.

Increased awareness of animal welfare issues cannot fail to lead the way to improved standards of animal welfare throughout the globe - what an achievement that will be!
