Dave Spikey, UK Comedian, Presenter, Actor, Comedy Writer - United Kingdom
"I give my wholehearted support for World Animal Day and I hope this compassionate initiative will unite people from all walks of life to help make a difference. Celebrating animals and their capacity to enrich our lives, allows us to reflect on the bigger picture and reminds us that we share this time and place with other living beings who also have feelings and needs that should be met. Indeed, giving something back to our natural environment and our companion animal friends is part of who we are and where we are going in the future. I hope World Animal Day goes from strength to strength in the years ahead."
Karen Mok, Actress, Singer-Songwriter, Advocate for Asia's Animals - Hong Kong
"World Animal Day is our opportunity to give the animals of Asia a voice by spreading the word that they deserve to live in a world without fear or suffering. Please join me in making a difference by making choices that will help literally millions of animals across the world by not wearing fur or buying ivory. Please help the thousands of bears suffering on bear farms in Asia too, and never buy or consume bear bile. Finally, please remember that dogs and cats are our friends, not food or fur, and we are happier and healthier by embracing them harmoniously into our lives. As Patron of Animals Asia Foundation, I will be celebrating World Animal Day in the knowledge that we are moving towards a better world for Asia's animals."
Ali Baba, Stand-Up Comedian and One of Nigeria's Biggest Celebrities - Nigeria

Emma Jesson, TV Presenter & Weathergirl, England - ITV and Channel 4 - United Kingdom
"As a patron of the RSPCA Safe Haven scheme and supporter of the RSPCA Birmingham Animal Centre, I would like to wholeheartedly pledge my support to World Animal Day. How wonderful to have a date which celebrates just how much joy we derive from interaction with both wild as well as domestic animals.
I am an advocate of Compassion in World Farming and other organisations which campaign for animal rights. I abhor animal and fish cruelty and applaud the increasing media exposure of inhumane practices. The facts are often unpalatable, but we should force ourselves to become aware so we can take a call to action. Whether it's walking the dog or watching the birds & squirrels who visit our gardens, our distant cousins in fur and feathers should be a cherished part of our lives."
Anneka Svenska, Wildlife Presenter and Conservationist - United Kingdom
“World Animal Day is a wonderful chance for animal lovers all over the world to come together in solidarity over one extremely important cause. To save and protect the animals on our planet and the delicate environment they live in. Without animals in the world, the world would be a very sad place. We must learn to protect and nurture them and make sure that the world will always stay a place where they can roam free and never become extinct.”
