World Animal Day 2009 has produced yet another bumper crop of press coverage from all corners of the Globe! Much of the coverage has already been entered below so please take a good look around.

Monuments for Street Dogs in San Jose
Last year, Pets y más & Asociación ‘El Arca de Noé presented an idea to the municipality of San José of creating a monument to stray dogs to help raise public awareness of their plight. The project was approved and a set of six street dog designs by a Costa Rican artist called Francisco Munguia were selected. This project has received a great deal of press coverage. March against Maltrato Animal - (March against Cruelty to Animals), Held in San Jose
A March against cruelty to animals was held calling on the Costa Rican Government to approve the revisions to law Nº 7451 as proposed by Carlos Zamora, tol enable the judicial system to bring to justice all those who are found guilty of cruelty to animals and for fines and jail sentences to be imposed. The peaceful march took place on World Animal Day, commencing in the central avenue of San José and ended at the Children's Museum where another World Animal Day event, organised by the Asociación ‘El Arca de Noé, was held. This event received a lot of publicity. See articles below:
