HAFIZ MUHAMMAD ABDULLAH
Hafiz Muhammad Abdullah is a dedicated veterinary professional in training at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore. A native of Gujranwala, Abdullah left his hometown in 2020 to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian at UVAS. His love for animals and his desire to make a meaningful impact on their lives have been driving forces throughout his academic and professional journey.
For the past four years, Abdullah has worked with the Special Animals & Veterinary Emergency Relief Society (SAVERS), an organisation focused on animal welfare and reducing animal abuse by organising free treatment camps for animals, promoting wildlife conservation, and celebrating World Animal Day. He has also advocated for animal health and welfare. Through the strategic use of social media platforms, SAVERS introduced the Council of Veterinary Education and Social Issues to raise awareness about social issues and encourage greater public involvement in animal care.
Abdullah started as a volunteer and, through his hard work, rose to the position of President of SAVERS. During his time with the organisation, he has led important projects like the Rabies Free Pakistan Initiative, organising vaccination camps, awareness sessions, and educational programs to fight rabies. Abdullah has also been active in training junior professionals, sharing his knowledge and experience to help them contribute to animal welfare. His passion for protecting animals from abuse and educating the public about responsible care has been central to his work.
During his studies, Abdullah completed the Amal Career Fellowship Program with remarkable success. This experience helped him enhance his leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, further strengthening his ability to work effectively in teams and lead important initiatives.
As an AMR Ambassador, Abdullah is deeply involved in raising awareness about antimicrobial resistance. He actively promotes the One Health approach, emphasising the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Through this initiative, he advocates for responsible antibiotic use in veterinary medicine and highlights the importance of addressing global health challenges holistically.
Abdullah’s commitment extends beyond animal welfare. He is passionate about uplifting the veterinary profession and works to inspire fellow veterinary professionals to contribute meaningfully to the field. Through training, leadership, and advocacy, he promotes the growth of veterinary practice and fosters a
spirit of collaboration among young professionals. Abdullah’s journey in the veterinary field is marked by dedication, leadership, and compassion for animals.
