HEIDI QUINE

Heidi is the Vietnam Country Director for Animals Asia, with over two decades of experience in animal welfare. She oversees Animals Asia’s work in Vietnam, including the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre and the Bach Ma Bear Rescue Centre, both sanctuaries for bears rescued from the illegal bear bile trade, and the pioneering ethical elephant experience at Yok Don National Park, where elephants rescued from cruel riding camps now roam freely. Heidi also oversees the organisation’s work in Vietnam to end the dog and cat meat trade and improve welfare standards in government-run rescue centres, focusing on long-term improvements and advocacy for animal protection. She holds postgraduate degrees in animal welfare and business administration and lives with her three rescued cats.
