VANESSA WADDON
Vanessa Waddon is the founder and Senior Head of Operations at Hope Rescue, a dog rescue charity in Wales, U.K. primarily helping stray dogs and dogs seized by local authorities from illegal and low welfare breeders. As well as helping over 600 dogs every year, Hope Rescue also uses their platform to advocate for improved animal welfare legislation.
In addition to her hard work at Hope Rescue, Vanessa uses her expertise to educate and campaign on animal welfare issues affecting dogs in Wales, such as greyhound racing and disreputable dog breeding, working closely with MSs and other animal welfare organisations to influence change. Vanessa and Hope Rescue have also been invaluable partners in the work of Naturewatch Foundation that aims to tackle canine fertility clinics.
