Animal Rescue Organisation (ARO) is a registered NGO established in 1986 to relieve the suffering of animals living within indigent communities across the Cape Metropole.

Overview Of Activities:

The Animal Rescue Organisation (ARO) based in Cape Town, South Africa is a small local NGO which concentrates on sending out mobile clinics to impoverished and indigent communities living in township and informal settlement environments.

Animals brought to the clinic will receive primary health care services, and can be booked for sterilisation. Mobile Clinics are sent under the authority of the Senior Vet.  Sterilisation is also a main priority of ARO and over 200 animals are sterilised monthly in order to try and address the problem of pet overpopulation.
