Catching up on World Animal Day 2022!
Spreading awareness of welfare issues is a crucial step towards raising the status of animals, which is the goal of World Animal Day.
October 4 is a perfect opportunity to speak up for the voiceless and give animals the recognition they deserve.
From recognising their own rescued furry friends to promoting campaigns that are close to their hearts, animal lovers flooded social media with animal-related posts. This year, the hashtag #WorldAnimalDay reached tens of millions of people around the globe on October 4!
We think that’s fantastic, but how can we all make an even bigger impact on the lives of animals in need?
Why not start planning your own event for World Animal Day 2023? We encourage animal lovers around the globe to add events to the website and use its resources to help promote those activities.
It’s clear from the wide variety of events this year that World Animal Day can be whatever you want it to be…
- If you’re an animal welfare organisation, you can use it to raise funds, promote a campaign or recruit new volunteers and supporters.
- If you’re an animal lover, you can use it to show your favourite charity how much you appreciate their work by organising an event on their behalf.
- If you’re a business, show your customers how compassionate you are by getting involved on October 4!
- Whoever you are and wherever you live, you’ll find an idea to suit you in World Animal Day’s Get Involved pages!
Whatever you do, however small, is better than doing nothing.
If you need inspiration, check out this year’s amazing, and varied, activities…
Don’t forget, we’ll offer you a free World Animal Day flag and dog bandana when you add an event to the website…
Victoria, AUSTRALIA: We sent Kellie a free flag and a bandana when she added her school’s event – World Animal Day is for guinea pigs too, not just dogs! |
See you next year!
