Animal Blessing at Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary
PLEASE NOTE you MUST be booked on a sanctuary tour on 4 October to attend this event – bookings available here: https://edgarsmission.org.au/visit/
To celebrate World Animal Day, we are honoured to host an exclusive animal blessing with Edgar's Mission Founder and World Animal Day Ambassador Pam Ahern, and H.E. Zim'og Rinpoche from the Nalendra Buddhist Institute Melbourne.
What to expect:
Starting with an introduction by our Founder and World Animal Day Ambassador Pam Ahern, we will then welcome H.E. Zim'og Rinpoche for a ceremony to bless the animals of Edgar's Mission. Starting in the Welcome Barn to perform the ceremony, he will then visit some key animal locations to complete the blessing.
Can I bring in my own animals?
Unfortunately no, for the safety and comfort of our rescued residents, and for biosecurity reasons, animals from outside cannot be brought into the sanctuary.
Can my animals still be blessed?
Yes! Please complete this RSVP form by 2 October and include your animal name/s. We will then display their name to be blessed as part of the proceedings.
What about lunch?
You are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in our picnic area before or after the event. Out of respect for our animal residents, we request that no animal products make their way onsite (including meat, dairy and eggs). Also, please do not bring any avocado to the sanctuary as it is deadly toxic to our birds. Here are some great recipes for inspiration!
