Big Cat Rescue’s Wildcat Walkabout for World Animal Day 2016
In honor of World Animal Day 2016, Big Cat Rescue will be hosting their annual Wildcat Walkabout on Saturday October 1st to benefit big cat conservation projects in the wild!
On this one day only event, guests will be able to freely explore the sanctuary to see a number of our nearly 90 exotic cats of 12 different species. Visit for the first time or head straight to your favorite cat and spend the entire day admiring them! Big Cat Rescue is normally only open to the public through guided tours so this is a unique opportunity to stroll at your leisure, get those once in a lifetime photos, and enjoy the beautiful grounds that our cats call home.
All proceeds will be donated to wild cat conservation projects of guests’ choosing! We’ll have some of Tampa’s finest food trucks, raffle prizes, and fun family activities such as face painting and a photo booth. Visitors will also be able to make the Call of the Wild to gain support for much needed federal legislation to end the private ownership of big cats.
