Bursted Wood’s World Animal Awareness Day
World Animal Day, celebrated on October 4, will culminate in an engaging event on Friday, where pupils will participate in a range of activities focused on animal welfare. The day will feature philosophy-style debates on thought-provoking questions related to animal rights and conservation, encouraging critical thinking and respectful discourse. Pupils will also explore the ‘Five Freedoms’ of animal welfare and engage in a range of activities, showcasing their artwork and written reflections. Following the event, our Eco Warriors (pupil leadership group) will engage in the promotion of animals, sharing ideas on how they can continue to help animals throughout the year.
