Activities to celebrate World Animal Day 2021 

  1. Animal Health Mentoring Framework Workshop 4th & 5th September, 2021 Outdoor Hospital, UVAS, Lahore.
  2. International Virtual Conference on Rabies Awareness and Its Control 19th September, 2021 Online Platform
  3. Rabies Awareness Walk & Free Rabies Vaccination Desk 29th & 30th September, 2021 Pet Center, UVAS, Lahore.
  4. 2nd Animal Health Mentoring Framework Workshop 9th October, 2021 Outdoor Hospital, UVAS, Lahore.
  5. Visit to school for Rabies Awareness 12th October, 2021 Govt. High School, Islampura, Lahore.
As part of series of events conducted regarding celebrations of World Animal Day 2021, following events have been arranged by Vets care Organization, Pakistan:
1. A two day “Animal Health Mentoring Framework Workshop” arranged by Vets Care Organization for volunteers of Vets Care Club in collaboration with Brooke Pakistan, on 4th and 5th September,2021.
Dr. Muhammad Javaid Khan, Animal Health Care Manager at Brooke, headed the 2 day workshop and shed light on the knowledge and important skills required to assure good animal health including good welfare, proper handling and restraint, basic needs, pain recognition, basic clinical examination, treatment protocols and various other essential skills that a clinician must have the knowledge of while dealing with equines.
The different techniques of restraint and important procedures such as palpation and auscultation were demonstrated on a live animal and everyone was given equal oppurtunity of hands on practice.
2. Vets Care Organization on occasion of World Rabies Day 2021 organized an “International Virtual Conference on Rabies and its Control”,on Sunday 19th September,2021.

The amazing line up of Guest Speakers including, Dr. Ajaz Rashid(Chief of Staff East Windsor Animal Hospital),Lt. Col. Retd Dr Hammad Ahmad Hashimi(National Sales and Technical Manager Sanam Pharma) and Dr. Attiq Dhakoo(Veterinary Physician and Surgeon) shared a knowledgeable and exceptional learning experience with the young Vets.
3. A two day Free Rabies Vaccination Camp by Vets Care Organization was wrapped up successfully on 30th September,2021. The Awareness Walk was conducted on the first day, 29th September, and Worthy Vice Chancellor UVAS Prof. Dr. Nasim Ahmad inaugurated the camp. More than 70 animals were vaccinated against Rabies in these two days.
