Conference, Concert for the Animals, Mobile spay-neuter projects
In the Philippines, three major animal welfare groups, The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) and Compassion and Responsibility for Animals (CARA), are organising a conference to be attended by animal protection groups working across the country. The conference is called PAACT, Philippine Animal Advocates Conference for Transformation, which will serve as a platform for sharing ideas among groups so as to help more animals. PAACT will take place on Monday October 3 at the Discovery Suites in Pasig City, Philippines. We are also holding a concert called “Voices for the Voiceless” which will be held on October 1 at the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City, which aims to raise funds and awareness for animal welfare. PAWS’ mobile spay-neuter clinic will continue to work in poor communities throughout October spaying and neutering dogs and cats owned by people who cannot afford to vet fees for as long as the drugs for surgery are sponsored by their community leaders and City Mayors.
