Day of Human-Animal Interaction/ Ziua Interacțiunii Om-Animal #ZIOA23
The Day of Human-Animal Interaction Day is a community-oriented event aimed at promoting optimal knowledge and attitudes towards animals, such as: therapeutic values of animal presence, responsible adoptions and animal cruelty prevention.
The event is organised by teaching staff, researchers and student-volunteers from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca (Faculty of Animal Sciences and Biotechnologies), as well as institutions and NGOs from the field of positive human-animal interactions, particularly those that are open to volunteering, internship opportunities and employment of future graduates of the University.
The ZIOA23 program is as follows:
• 10:00 – Official opening.
• 10:00-15:00 – Educational desks, discussion groups about animal behaviour and welfare and the study programs in the fields, presentation of volunteering and foster opportunities, interactions with therapy dogs, counselling on positive training and behavioural enrichment etc.
• 10:00-15:00 – Visits to the USAMV CN Aquarium Complex, which will also host the Insect Knowledge Workshop (UBB Zoological Museum) and the Reptile Knowledge Corner (UBB Vivarium).
