Debate for Current status of Somali animal welfare/rights

 SAWS is planning to take part the forthcoming World Animal Day on 4th October. It’s a day for advocacy, education, unity, involvement, and the raising of awareness for all of the animal issues that exist throughout the world.

It’s a first time that SAWS celebrates WAD, The events will take place Hargeisa City, North West Somalia known as Somaliland, the event activities as below:

  1. Organizing debate for current animal welfare/right Status and constraints and challenges hampered Animal welfare/right improvement in Somalia that will take place in Hotel venue through Live National TV programme,
  2. Debate members are, members from ministry of livestock, environment, Municipality, Parliament, Somaliland lawyer association and vet organization,
  3. 40 participant attending in the venue, these participants will ask a questions relating animal welfare/rights to debaters,
  4. Write articles to the local newspaper informing people of the day and the meaning behind it,
  5. Printing banners and slogans dissemination messages as a day for advocacy, education, unity, involvement, and the raising of awareness for all of the animal issues that exist throughout the world and posting on venue walls,
  6. Preparing final report with pictures and video scripts.
