Forum of Initiatives and Actions for Animal Welfare
This event will bring together policymakers, public institutions, animal welfare experts, veterinary scientists, food sector producers and distributors, NGOs, and members of the media to foster dialogue on the state of animal welfare in Portugal. The forum will focus on the urgent need for effective, evidence-based public policies, exploring how the latest scientific research can be applied to improve the lives of both companion animals and farm animals.
Participants will examine the role of political institutions and the productive sector in shaping ethical, sustainable, and responsible systems that reflect growing public concern for animal well-being.
The program will include an official opening and presentation of the organizing NGOs, a panel discussion highlighting key challenges, available support, and success stories, as well as a Q&A session and opportunities for networking.
