Free Rabies Vaccines Activity in Guangzhou and Nanning
28 September is World Rabies Day. In order to popularize the importance of rabies prevention, we held 2 events in China, in Guangzhou and Nanning, on 24, Sep, in which we promoted knowledge of rabies control and prevention.
One of the essential measures to prevent Rabies is to vaccinate dogs and cats regularly. Therefore, we provided 100 free rabies vaccines to cats and dogs in each city, in order to encourage their guardians to remember this critical procedure. This year, we partnered with local authorities, vet clinics, a vaccine company, a cat and dog food company, the community, and shopping malls to encourage more people and animals to be involved and benefit from our event. The vets on-site also kindly gave the animals free body checks.
In Nanning, dog/cat guardians were extremely enthusiastic about the event, and all 100 quotas of the free vaccinations were claimed in just 2 hours.
Not only the animals benefited, but their guardians also had a good time as well. We prepared some fun games and quizzes so that everyone could take part in the event and learn something. Thanks to the sponsors, the visitors also received some free cat and dog food as gifts.
Chengdu’s rabies injection activity will also be held on 3rd October, in a popular shopping mall. As this coincides with the National Day Holidays, we believe that the number of visitors will increase.
