Fundraiser to pay for vital surgery
Costica was Kuono ry’s dedicated World Animal Day animal this year. A fundraiser to pay for Costica’s leg amputation was carried out via Kuono ry’s webpage.

Costica’s right front leg was badly injured and he was found in a ditch in Craiova, Romania. A local rescuer took him in and arranged for the repair operation/leg amputation with RAR (Romania Animal Rescue, Inc.) and Kuono ry. Kuono ry raised the needed funds and Costica’s leg was successfully amputated on November 2nd, 2017, and the boy is now on the mend, and his future is bright.
