Gambian Schools Competition to Draw/Write a story about a favourite animal
The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust are delighted to announce their National Schools Competition in collaboration with the Gambian Department of Education and the Department of Livestock Services.
Children from across The Gambia will be invited to draw a picture of, or write a short story about their favourite animal.
The entries will be judged by Dr Daffeh, Head of Veterinary Services and Mr Alpha Jallow, Director of Wildlife Conservation and winners be announced in November 2012.
This event will serve to bring the importance of animals and the benefits they bring to society to the attention of children and the general public. Winning entries will be displayed in the national press as well as in a number of hotels within The Gambia.
