International Animal Welfare Conference 2024
We hope to see you at the 5th International Animal Welfare Conference on October 4 – 5. The conference will be held in Erinevate Tubade Klubi, located in Telliskivi Creative City.
Our animal welfare conference is dedicated to all animal lovers, including to the protection and saving of animals, and to those who assist animals daily. Our goal is to share experiences and knowledge on an international level to improve the competence of all those who deal with animals and broaden the perspective of those interested in the field.
The first day of the conference is dedicated to professionals and volunteers working in the field of animal protection. The second day will be held in a seminar format and is aimed at a broader audience of pet owners and animal lovers. On the first day, international expert knowledge and valuable experiences will be shared by Mark Randell, a representative of a British animal protection organization, and Maria Eiskop, a representative of the Finnish animal protection organization SEY. Animal behavior specialist Amber Batson will closely examine the situation of animals with complex backgrounds from the UK.
The second day of the conference invites participants to actively engage in seminars and discussions on various important topics, such as the keeping of small and exotic animals, animal care culture, and the issue of stray animals. The conference will conclude with discussions on working dogs and training for irresponsible dog owners. The conference will be moderated by Evelyn Valtin, a member of ELS with extensive experience in animal protection.
On the first day, Estonian-English-Estonian simultaneous translation will be provided. The discussions on the second day will be held only in Estonian.
