
It’s time to End the Cruel Live Animal Export Trade
In the 2018 calendar year, 1088,870 cattle were exported live from Australia, including 257,513 from the Port of Townsville.
TALE – Townsville Against Live Export is a local group campaigning for an end to this trade in animal cruelty.
To mark World Animal Day 2019 we will be holding an information stall at the Strand Night Markets.
When: Friday 4 October 2019 from 5pm until 9pm.
Where: Strand Park, on The Strand, North Ward, Townsville, Queensland.

Our stall at the Strand Night Markets attracted lots of interest from local residents and visitors concerned about the cruelty of the live cattle export trade from Townsville. Signatures were collected on our petitions calling for the Australian government to end the trade and support producers to transition away from live animal exports and a number of post cards to our Prime Minister reminding him that there is no “Bon Voyage for cattle being live exported and asking him to end this cruel trade are now on their way to him,
