Let’s all fight for animal rights
The students of I.M.Panagiotopoulos School (Athens, Greece) will engage in a series of animal-related activities throughout the first week of October. First of all by a means of a presentation, they will be informed about different species of animals, their habitats and their crucial role in preserving the ecosystem. The issue of endangered animals and extinct ones will then be explored to raise awareness and motivate students to take action. By the end of the introductory stage, all students are expected to realise that animals have rights and feelings just like any other creature and therefore we need to make sure that they are respected and protected. Finally, the younger students will make animal drawings as well as pledge to protect and respect animals however they can, while the older ones will make their own booklet: a fact file on different species around the world.
