Marine Protected Areas for Whales & Dolphins
Lecture from Dr Mike Tetley for the Natural History Society of Northumbria.
Describing himself as a scientist and conservationist, Mike studies marine spatial ecology, trying to understand why species live where they do and how they have adapted to that environment.
Widely travelled, this lecture will describe how Mike’s research and understanding of the habitat needs of whales and dolphins around the world will be used to identify areas where their protection should be prioritised and how this can influence how we manage our oceans.
