Nepris Virtual Presentation for World Animal Day

Presentation description:

Big Cat Rescue is one of the world’s largest accredited sanctuaries for wild cats and a leading advocate to end big cat abuse. Students will learn about day-to-day operations at the sanctuary, be introduced to the twelve species of cats that call Big Cat Rescue home, and find out about the issues that threaten cats both in captivity and the wild. Best of all, everyone will learn simple actions they can take to help big cats and end big cat abuse.

The presentation includes entertaining videos, sounds, and fun photos of our cats. All abuse topics and discussions of threats to wild cats are adapted to the age group. The presentation does not contain any graphic or disturbing images.

This session was part of the World Animal Day (10/4) virtual presentations offered by Nepris, a cloud-based platform that enables teachers to bring real-world relevance and career exposure to students by finding, matching, and virtually connecting industry professionals with their classroom. Big Cat Rescue connected with 195 students from 8 classrooms in the U.S. located in Missouri, Texas, Oregon, and California.
