Official Opening of New Shelter/Free Sterilization & Treatment/Educational Campaign in Schools & Social Centres
This year World Animal Day will be very special because we are moving to our new refuge which is much larger and there is more space to to build larger kennels so we can accommodate more animals. We will be carrying out free sterilization and treatment for cats and dogs, not only for strays but also for pets owned by people who are unable to afford the price of veterinary services. There will also be a vast educational campaign on animal welfare in schools and social centers across the island to sensitize people to the needs of animals. Our new shelter will be officially opened to mark World Animal Day and it will give us the opportunity to open its doors to the public. Meera Appadoo, World Animal Day Ambassador.
