ROXI PLEDGES A TON OF HAY FOR SCOOTER ON WORLD ANIMAL DAY

Roxi the Rescue Dog has pledged to help her new friend Scooter and the other rescue animals at the Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary in British Columbia, Canada by raising enough funds to bring them at least a ton of hay by Christmas.

Roxi is the star of Roxi Books which will launch its fundraising campaign while exhibiting at the Planted Expo in Vancouver next month. “Proceeds from Roxi Book sales during our ‘Books & Bales’ campaign will go towards our target of buying at least a ton of hay for the animals at Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary” says Carolyn Drew, author of the book series aimed at educating children and their care providers about animal welfare.

Roxi Books is a humane education children’s book series written by author-activist Carolyn Drew. She created the Roxi Book series to raise awareness of animal welfare issues around the world and to empower kids to make compassionate life choices. While appropriately written for young children, her stories have an ethical message to encourage conversations about how we treat sentient beings. Partial proceeds of all book sales are donated to animal advocacy and rescue organizations.

We support World Animal Day today with a visit to Happy Herd to spend time with the animals and announce this special campaign.

We had an awesome time on World Animal Day spending time with the animals at Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary and announcing our upcoming fundraiser to raise a ton of hay for them by Christmas through Roxi Book sales.
