Southampton has celebrated World Animal Day this year on the October 7th. We have brought together vegan and cruelty-free businesses and animal charities, and filled the hall of Freemantle community centre with stalls offering food, care products, crafts, household goods, books, plants and bric-a-brac. The attendees of all age had an opportunity to have their faces painted, as well as, to enjoy free hot drinks. All food and drinks at the event were vegan and there was a range of posters, leaflets and booklets to educate about animal suffering in farming, sport, research, etc.

Through raffle sale, donated goods and food we have raised £149.18 for World Animal Day grant to support animal welfare projects around the world. Along with raised money, hopefully, we have raised awarness about animal cruelty and made a change for the better for some animals.
