Spend an Evening With Jill and Marc
Come celebrate World Animal Day this year with animal welfare pioneer Jill Robinson, the founder of the internationally acclaimed Animals Asia Foundation (AAF). She will be joined by special guest-renowned author and animal emotions expert Marc Bekoff. Spend an evening with Jill and Marc as they discuss Animals Asia’s work to rescue highly endangered black bears-or moon bears, as they are known-from barbaric bile farms in China. In just over a decade, Animals Asia has rescued 361 bears and championed public awareness through media, education and lobbying campaigns throughout Asia on a number of animal welfare issues, including the international bear bile trade, the treatment of captive wildlife, and cat and dog consumption. In addition there will be a photo exhibit of moon bear rescue and portraits taken by animal rights photographer Jo-Anne McArthur. All photos will be for sale. Please join us for a wonderful evening in celebration of Animals Asia’s work to end cruelty and restore respect for animals in Asia. Silent auction. Vegan hors d’oeuvres will be served. Cash Bar.
