Veterinary Students Celebrating World Animal Day 2020
Veterinary Students for Animal Welfare(Vet-SAW) will be orgranizing a series of programs to celebrate this year World Animal Day. All the events will be free and conducted by the veterinary students. The events are listed below
- Panel Discussion on Animal welfare and Right: On October 4th, Time 4 pm we will be going live through our FB page using the zoom paltform where we will be sharing the panel with animals welfare/right activits, veterianry professioonal and one government representative to learn more about animal welfare situation in the country, the existing laws and practices.
- World Animal Day Awareness video: This include 25 veterinary students from and around the country whose message would be to secure animal welfare or rights and each would deliver their lines and we will compile to make a beautiful video with an impactful message. This will be shared from our Fb page, Instagram page and as well as our YouTube channels.
- Neon light collars distribution for street dogs: Vet-SAW will collaborate with other non profit organizations to fund for the neon or light reflecting collars which we will distribute to different districts of Nepal including Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Chitwanl, Butwal and other places. This will help the street dogs to be protected from the hit and run cases which is often one of the major cause for accidents. Also we hope this give the sense of belongingness to them and therefore people would hesitate to harm or hurt them. 🙁
