Event Description

Come celebrate World Animal Day by meeting our resident wildlife. Our facility houses native Florida animals who were orphaned or injured and cannot be released (like Peepers, the Eastern Screech Owl!) and pets whose humans could no longer care for them. Being adjacent to the largest subtropical wetland in North America, we also see a large variety of wild critters on our property such as butterflies, lizards, small mammals, and birds. We will have animal talks by our educator and docents available for free tours included with admission. $5 adults, $3 children, Free for children under 5 and for members. 3000 Sportsplex Dr. Coral Springs, Florida 33065

Post-Event Summary

We celebrated World Animal Day early with several animal talks about our resident wildlife. Guests learned more about our alligators, parrots, raptors, and snakes while discussing issues these animals have and how we can help. They were most interested in the pet trade and learned how to make responsible decisions about researching before bringing any pet into their homes.
