Walk for Animals
Our ‘Walk for Animals to help Stop Animal Cruelty’ is being organized by the Society of Animal Welfare in conjunction with Ministry of Agriculture, Donkey Sanctuary, Brooke Animal Hospital, SPANA Ethiopia, National Veterinary Institute, Ethiopian Veterinary Association. When: Sunday October 9 at 9.00am-march begins at 9.30am. Start at: 6kilo beside the lion’s cage at the zoo. Along the way, entertainment will be provided by students, circus groups and organisations. This walk is designed to catch the eye of pedestrians and the media. End at: 4kilo science faculty theater hall, 10.30am approx, where there will be an exhibition of paintings and poetry. Speeches will be given by representatives of the participating organisations, followed by a lively debate. The day’s programme will culminate with prize giving for the winners of the various competitions we are organizing. Dr Henok Wendirad, General Manager, SAW.
