Wellington SPCA October School Holidays
In celebration of animals and the children that love them, we are hosting a series of holiday programmes over the first two weeks of October.
We have ten school holiday programmes planned. All programmes are designed to be very interactive and educational, using techniques supporting all learning styles. We have a lot of volunteer support to help children maximise their experience with us, but for safety reasons, we ask that a parent or guardian accompany children that require one on one attention and children under 6 years old. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to look after children between two half day sessions and ask that children are dropped off and picked up as close to the scheduled times as possible.
We will provide a healthy vegetarian morning and/or afternoon tea at all school holiday sessions. For full day sessions, please pack a lunch. If your child has special dietary requirement, please pack appropriate snacks.
Pet Pals School Holiday Programme
Come meet many of the different pets we work with here at the SPCA and learn all about how to look after and help them!
Tuesday the 1st of October, 1:30pm to 4:30pm
A Dogs Day at the SPCA School Holiday Programme
We have entire day planned learning about dogs! This will include everything from basic safety, care, grooming, training and more.
Wednesday the 2nd of October, 9am to 4pm
Teen Clever Canines School Holiday Programme (10 years +)
Come to this half day session leaning all about dogs including safety, care, training and more!
Thursday the 3rd of October, 9am to 12pm
Curious Cats School Holiday Programme
Do you have a young cat lover? This event is perfect for them, we will be learning all about cats and of course spend heaps of time with some of the awesome cats and kittens we have in our care.

Kids can come to meet and learn about all the animals we work with and the many different jobs we have here at the SPCA.

Clever Canines School Holiday Programme

Monday the 7th of October, 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Pet Paramedics School Holiday Programme
Becoming a vet is a great way to help animals, but what other options do we have? Kids can come and learn about all the ways the SPCA helps animals, the many different jobs to choose from all while spending time with and learning about some very special animals the SPCA has rescued!
Tuesday the 8th of October, 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Teen Day at the SPCA School Holiday Programme (10 years +)
Kids 10 years old+ can come and learn with other kids their age all about animals, helping them, about the SPCA and so much more at this exciting interactive day!
