What World Animal Day means to me
With students of Class 10 we have discussed in the English lesson the importance of this day for the whole humanity to focus such ideas as:
1) to treat animals as living beings;
2) to care after them;
3) to invest all your energy, love, free time into them;
4) to study them in order to know more about their life and habits;
5) to be kind to them.
Moreover, students have shared their experience of keeping pets at home and given a lot of reasonable advice to those who have decided to have a pet for the first time in their lives. It was a useful and emotional discussion aimed at realising what animals meen to us and what we mean to animals.
