World Animal Day 2017 Awards Serbia – Priznanja ambasadora Svetskog Dana Životinja za istaknute javne ličnosti

The special awards of the World Animal Day in Serbia this year is given to two prominent figures who have advocated for the promotion of welfare and protection of animals in our country for a long period of time. It is about our famous sociologist and writer Prof. Ratko Bozovic and prominent singer and composer Aleksandra Kovac.
Professor Božović, as an excellent intellectual, thinker and creator in his literary work, devoted a great deal of attention to promoting the welfare of pets and the need to accept them as our best friends and companions. In his numerous public appearances, he has also tried to point out the importance and significance of animals in our animals and how their relation to them is significant for our lives and also for our social development.
Aleksandra Kovač has also dedicated part of her life to the protection of animals and the promotion of their rights. This was done in a very practical way when she had taken care of abandoned animals, as well as through her public appearances when she promoted the housing of animals and the need to help those who were left to the streets and abused. In a very simple and effective way, she pointed out that everyone can and should be human and, despite numerous obligations, can do good deeds that will help those in need and will enrich themselves, and not only themselves but also their environment.
