World Animal Day Awareness & Celebration
This year we will be celebrating with three days of English & German classes all dedicated to the wonderful animals in the world. Each day we will celebrate a different group of animals – How to look after your Pets, Save the Turtles and Ocean project and Endangered Animals. We have got expert guest speakers to help raise awareness and answer any questions and our students can all take part in lots of fun activities, colouring competitions, design your own poster and quizzes!!
Our Endangered Animal Poster competition will be judged by the President of EL CAPITAN ANIMAL PROJECT which is an important, local animal charity here on the island of Fuerteventura.
This is our first time participating in a WORLD ANIMAL DAY celebration at Simply English, so let´s make it a great start!!

Firstly I would like to say a huge Thank you to everyone who helped make our first World Animal Day (week!) such a great success!! All the teachers did a fantastic job and the students really worked hard, learned a lot and had great fun at the same time!
Some of our youngler learners entered our colouring competition while others drew and wrote about their pets and favourite cuddly toys.
Our older students each chose an endangered animal to investigate and created posters to raise awareness and to think about what we can do to help them.
Mirjam, the president of EL CAPITAN ANIMAL PROJECT, had the really difficult job of choosing the winners.(A big Thanks for that!)
