World Animal Day in Trieste, Italy
We will start on Sunday 30th September with all the stands of the animal charities, and this year we are being hosted by Montedoro shopping complex near Muggia, Trieste, which has free parking for the public. The day will start at 10am with speeches by local authorities to open the event, followed by various conferences on the plight of swallows, bats and bees held by various experts in those fields. There will also be demonstrations by search and rescue teams with their dogs, games and face painting for children, and we will be handing out leaflets against the planned acquarium in Trieste. We will continue with other events on the 4th, including the blessing of the animals, and demonstrations by both the search and rescue dogs and an association which educates dogs. The final event will be on the 7th of October, with a demonstration of the sea rescue team and their dogs in the sea in front of the main square in Trieste.
