World Animal Day Open Day
We invite you to join us to celebrate World Animal Day. Come and see our twelve wolves, including the new Beenham cubs and the UK’s only Arctic wolves. You can take photos from our raised observation platform and learn the differences between European and North American wolves by viewing Lunca and Duma. You’ll be able to watch Torak (a majestic half-North American wolf) and Mosi (his mischievous companion) from the comfort of our well-stocked shop. We’ve plenty to see and do! As well as the wolves, we’ll have the following: • Secret World and Querks Animal Road show • Ferret Racing • Archery • Award-winning children’s author Michelle Paver • Children’s Activities, including face-painting, a bouncy castle and pond-dipping • Birds of Prey demonstrations • Hug a Husky • Deer Society • Hedge laying demonstration • Stalls with Native American merchandise The UKWCT shop will be open for you to purchase souvenirs of the day. Free parking is available and there are toilets on-site. Refreshments will be available and there’s plenty of room for picnicking if you’d rather bring your own food. The site is accessible for those with mobility scooters and wheelchairs. Please note: no dogs are allowed on-site or to be left in parked cars. Tickets bought ahead of the day cost £8 for adults, £3 for concessions (members of the UKWCT, children between 3 and 11 as well as senior citizens). A family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) is available for £18. Gate prices will be £10, £5 and £25 respectively, so save money by booking in advance! Tickets may be purchased on from our online shop at www.ukwolf.org or by phoning 0118 971 3330, or on the day at the gate.
