World Animal Week West Berkshire 28th September to 4th October

We are extending World Animal Day and running World Animal Week West Berkshire from the 28th September to 4th October

Join us to help Animals affected by the Coronavirus pandemic

Four leading animal charities in West Berkshire – Dogs Trust Newbury, Cats Protection’s Newbury Adoption Centre, National Animal Welfare Trust Berkshire (Trindledown) and Newbury & District Local RSPCA – are coming together for World Animal Week West Berkshire to raise money to help support the animals we care for.

While Covid-19 is a human pandemic, animals have also been hugely impacted. In the upcoming months, as in any recession, the pressures will likely increase on the services of our four animal charities as families potentially struggle to keep their animals as a result of financial hardship, with the likelihood that more animals will be handed into homing centres.

We do not receive any Government funding so your support truly means the world, especially to all animals in West Berkshire who will be affected in the aftermath of this crisis. All of the money raised will be split equally between the four charities.

Join us and get involved in this week from 28th September – 4th October and help us raise much needed donations. Whatever you donate, will make a difference.

There are two fun events you can get involved in:

  • Wear Your Whiskers on the 30thSeptember – we are asking that as many people as possible to paint whiskers on their faces or face coverings and post them to this page
  • Enter our Facebook competition to tell us how your pet has supported you during the coronavirus pandemic.

Our target is £2,000, so if you’d like to donate please visit https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/WorldAnimalWeekWestBerkshire
