Mixlings in Time CELEBRATES WORLD ANIMAL DAY WITH the launch of the new children’s book Mixlings in Time: Time Warped
Orlando, Florida, October 4, 2019 – Mixlings in Time is joining the thousands of other organizations and individuals around the globe in celebrating World Animal Day. Mixlings in Time is proud to support this global movement to raise the status of animals by using this special day to raise awareness for the importance of animals in the world.
Heinrich Zimmerman organized the first World Animal Day on 24th March 1925 in Berlin and moved it to October 4 in 1929. Every year he promoted World Animal Day and finally, in 1931 at a congress of the world’s animal protection organizations in Florence, Italy, his proposal to make October 4 World Animal Day was unanimously accepted. October 4 was chosen as it’s the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
World Animal Day has become a global celebration for all animals and the people who love and respect them. It’s known on every continent and celebrated in different ways in many countries, with no regard to nationality, religion or political ideology.
In celebration of World Animal Day, October 4, 2019, authors Linda Rossel and Renee Cooley Riegler will launch Mixlings in Time: Time Warped, for sale on Amazon.com.
Mixlings in Time celebrates Emerson, Mendel and Cicero, our animal heroes, as they bravely go back in time to try to save the world’s forests. What the ferret, armadillo and flying squirrel didn’t know was that the untested time machine would change them in their quest. We honor all animals of the world and invite all adventurous children and adults to meet the Mixlings and learn more about the animals they were, and the animals they became, during their trip.

World Animal Day provided the backdrop for the Worldwide Debut of Mixlings in Time: Time Warped, a new book by Linda Rossel and Renee Cooley Riegler.
