Life in Uganda is difficult but dogs make it better - Uganda

The BIG FIX Uganda operates the only veterinary hospital in Northern Uganda, home to more than 2 million people and tens of thousands of companion animals.  The organisation focuses on veterinary service, education, and interventions. Free veterinary care is provided to animals whose guardians love them but can’t afford to pay.

The organisation is devoted to improving the lives of people and animals in Northern Uganda, an economically impoverished region. Because animals and people live in close proximity, diseases such as rabies and conditions such as parasite infestation effect both animals and people. The health and well-being of people is directly linked to the health and well-being of their animals.
