World Animal Day celebration at the State Darwin Museum (Moscow)
On October 5, 2019, the State Darwin Museum is inviting everyone to join the World Animal Day celebration. We have prepared more than 15 different activities for children and adults, including biology quizzes, games and workshops.
Get an opportunity to touch alive exotic insects and learn more interesting facts about them. Interactive classes with living insects carefully guided by specialists will help visitors to better get to know representatives of the Animal kingdom, as well as to learn how to live in harmony with them. Discover more about the insects specializing in camouflage and meet them in person.
Educative classes with microscopes will welcome those, wondering “how insects eat and about their jaws structure”, “what human beings look like when observed under the microscope”.
A special quest will tell you more curious information about the animal of the year 2019 – the European pine marten.
Educative games will show how to distinguish bird songs and help to choose the correct diet correspondingly, as well as to read forest inhabitants’ trails.
Little children can color animal portraits and learn more about the purpose of animals having such diverse coloration.
